Texas School Board Recognition
Month Celebrated.
With
a quorum established the meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m. by Board President Mrs. Alma G. Ramirez.
No one
addressed the Board during Open Forum.
The
Board of Trustees were recognized for School Board Recognition Month. Dr. Helms
presented certificates to Mr. Casas and Mr. Jasso for completion of TASB ISD
Level I. Dr. Helms also presented certificates to all Board Members Honoring
their dedicated leadership in public education and continuing service to the
children of this community. Board Members also received a bag of goodies. In
addition, each campus adopted at least one board member for School Board
Recognition Month and students from John F. Kennedy and West Oso Junior High
created some beautiful art work for the board and the campuses had invitations
for the board members to join the students for lunch and other activities going
on the remainder of the month.
The
