The new West Oso High School construction is in progress since the
summer.
These pictures show some of the construction advancements.
WEST OSO NEW BEAR
MASCOT
Mr. Bobby Lucas donated a mounted trophy male black bear to West
Oso ISD. The new mascot will be placed at West Oso High
School.
The bear is registered in the National Pope and Young record book
as a trophy specimen.
West Oso ISD thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Lucas for their donation.
HARBOR LIGHTS FESTIVAL
On December 2, a group of 35 students from West Oso High School
participated in the 25th Harbor Lights Festival. They worked
in the Children Activity Area helping kids in writing postcards to
Santa and helping them to make gifts such as garlands, jewelry and
ornaments.
The Annual Harbor Lights Festival is a unique celebration where the
skyline and bayfront marina of Corpus Christi are illuminated for
the holiday season.
West Oso students enjoyed helping and working with younger children
as well as seeing the festival's events.

SPORTS
On November 25, West Oso Lady Bears Basketball Team played
against Miller winning the game. Score 68-24
On November 26, Bears played against Beeville. Score Beeville
40- Bears 49.
On December 5, West Oso Lady Bears Basketball Team
played against H.M. King winning the game. Score: 40-49
