Oso High School recently competed in the UIL District 31AAA Academic
Championship, held on March 21st, 24th, and 30th,
at West Oso High School. Students who placed at the district meet
include Jessica Marin, who place 2nd in Literary Criticism and
Vanessa Lopez, who place 5th in Literary Criticism.
The West Oso High School Literary Team place 2nd in the Team Contest. Members of the team include Hilary Alviar, Jessica Marin, Vanessa Lopez, and Crystal Garcia. Students who placed in the top three at district or were members of winning teams will advance to the UIL regional meet, to be held on April 21st and 22nd at Texas A & M University, Kingsville, Winning medals for West Oso High School in the One Act Play Competition were Melanie Molina - All Star Cast and Donnie Avila - Honor Cast For more information regarding the UIL academic program, contact Dayton at 512-471-5883 or look on the UIL web site at www.uil.utexas.edu .
