February 8, 2008, West Oso ISD presented at the 2008 Annual Educational
Technology Research Symposium in Austin, TX. West Oso presenters were
Mr. Doug Gregory, Technology Specialist in West Oso, and Mr. Jay Martinez,
West Oso Network Administrator.
Mr. Gregory's presentation was title
"Discover How to Design Great Websites with Google's Free Page Creator".
During this workshop, attendees learned how to use Google's Page Creator
free software to design, build and host websites for educational or personal

 Mr.
Martinez's presentation was title "Kubuntu - Make Linux your Friend".
Participants learned about the easy approach to installing and running the
Kubuntu Operating System (Linux) on a less than perfect personal computer.
