Worried
about your kids playing safe this summer?
We courage you and your family to keep safety in mind. Here are
some tips and web sites to look for more information.
- Tell kids
to check first with you or to the person in charge before they go
anywhere, and never let them go alone to malls, movies, or parks
- When
playing outside, encourage kids to wear light clothing that covers up
their skin, to drink plenty of water, and to use sunscreen lotion.
- Tell them
to stay away from pools, canals, and other bodies of water.
- Do not
let them play near busy streets of desert areas, and tell them not to
take shortcuts unless you know about it.
- If they
ride their bike, they need to be careful, as it gets dark. They
need to wear reflectors and protective clothing.
