The West Oso Independent School District has cancelled
classes at all campuses due to inclement weather associated with
Hurricane Ike. I t is important to note the following:

All classes, scheduled for Thursday, September 11, and
Friday, September 12, have been cancelled. Classes will
resume as soon as possible following the passing of
Hurricane Ike.

All WOISD athletic events for Thursday, September 11, and
Friday, September 12, and Saturday, September 13, have been
cancelled.

The celebration for September 15 has been postponed until
further notice.

Parents/guardians and WOISD staff members are advised to
listen to local radio and television newscasts or check the
WOISD web site,
www.westosoisd.esc2.net , for the latest information
concerning school closures.

WOISD is working collaboratively with the City of Corpus
Christi. They are in communication regarding Hurricane Ike’s
projected path and the latest evacuation orders.
