DISCIPLINARY ALTERNATIVE
DISCIPLINE CENTER (DDAEP) PLACEMENT |
The following general procedures shall be used in
assigning students to the Alternative Discipline Center.
Prior to assignment to the
District DDAEP, the home campus administrative staff shall have tried several
alternatives to modify the student’s behavior. Assignment of students to the
DAEP is the direct result of a campus discipline hearing resulting from the
student’s inappropriate behavior and/or violation of the Student Code of Conduct
at his/her home campus.
The DDAEP is the District’s
final attempt at keeping the students in the educational environment prior to a
recommendation for expulsion. The administrator may recommend a student for
expulsion if the offense at the home campus is such that law requires immediate
expulsion.
