Summer School Schedule

West Oso Elementary School will be offering Pre-Kinder and Kindergarten Bilingual only,          1st – 6th grade special program funds promotion only.

 

West Oso High School will be offering Language Arts/Reading and Math for 7th and 8th graders for promotion only.

 

 Algebra I & II, Geometry, English I and III, American and World History will be offered for 9th through 12th  grade.  Enrichment/Advanced Courses will be offered for juniors and /or seniors only, $125.00 per course, courses offered will be: Government/Economics, English IV, Spanish I, & II, and Algebra II.

There will be early dismissal the last day of summer school at 12 Noon.  No school on Fridays

Special Programs Summer School Program

The purpose of the Special Programs Summer School program is to enable K-Grade 5 students who were retained or promoted to attain or maintain the District’s standards in reading/language arts and mathematics.  Thematic teaching will address reading/language arts and mathematics. 

Summer Lunch Program

The free lunch program will begin June 9 – July 23, 2003

Hours are:  High School

11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.

West Oso Elementary

11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

Lunch will be served Monday -  Thursday.

 COLLEGE FOR KIDS

 West Oso I.S.D. will be sending 60 students to Del Mar College East Campus and Dawson Elementary to take summer courses ranging from Chess, Art, Guitar, Reading & Math improvement, and many other courses.

 Bear Center at West Oso Junior High will be opening their doors for summer starting June 2, 2003, and will be inviting 6th graders to attend.  For more information call Stacy Gurleski at 855-0221.

 Summer hours for the WOISD Administration Office will be 7:30 A.M. – 5:30 P.M. Monday- Thursday beginning June 2 – July 31, 2003.    Closed on Fridays.
