HOLIDAY TIPS FOR PARENTS

Your children will be with you from December 21, 2002 until January 9, 2003.  Rather then count the days until your children will return to school,  make this time a special time to continue the learning process.  Education is a life-long process and parents/guardians are a child’s first and most important teacher.

?          Eat at least one meal each day together.  Make it a habit for one week.

?         Talk to each other.  Parents sometimes talk at children and not with them.  Many of our children do not no how to talk with an adult.

?         Clean a room or part of a room together.   It is a chore that we all must do but it makes it more fun when someone else does it with you.

?         Wash dishes together.   Talk with each other.

?        Laugh together.  The sound of laughter is beautiful and laughter is good for our health.
