  PACT SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM

  SUMMER SCHOOL
Summer school for 1st - 5th grade is  from June 8 to July 2, Monday thru Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Summer camp for 1st - 5th grade starts on June 15 and ends on July 2, Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

  SUMMER NUTRITION PROGRAMS AT WOISD
Friends, fun and food! Summer meals are provided at not charge to all children under 18 years old.  To eat, just show up! Lunch Menu

 JFK/ WOE PRE-REGISTRATION UPDATE
Pre-Kinder registration will begin on June 29th, and run through July 2nd, at the John F. Kennedy Cafeteria between 8:00 a.m.-12:00 & 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
West Oso elementary will have pre-registration for returning students on June 17th and 18th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

  2009-2010 SCHOOL CALENDAR
On Monday March 23, the Board of Trustees approved the 2009-2010 School Calendar.  Students will start instruction on August 24, 2009.  ( Calendar)
 

  NEW IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS FOR 2009-2010 SCHOOL YEAR
April 7, 2009
New immunization requirements for students in Texas Public Schools have been approved.
Five new vaccine requirements have been added, and the vaccines affected are Hepatitis A, MMR Varicella, Tdap, and Meningococcal. The new immunization requirements will be effective on August 1, 2009 (more)

  SUPERINTENDENT FINALIST FOR WOISD SELECTED
March 4, 2009
By a unanimous vote, the West Oso I.S.D. Board of Trustees selected Michael Sandroussi as the finalist for their superintendent’s position. The current superintendent, Dr. Crawford Helms, is retiring in June. (more)

  2007-2008 State and LEA NCLB Report Card Data
Section 1111(h) (2) of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) requires that West Oso ISD, a Local Education Agency (LEA), that receives Title I, Part A funding to disseminate specific LEA-and campus-level data to 1) all LEA campuses, 2) parents of all enrolled students, and 3) to make the information widely available through public means such as posting on the Internet, distribution to the media, or distribution through public agencies. West Oso ISD is posting the required information on our district website and on each of our campus websites.
